Updated Mineral Resource estimate – only the beginning of the discovery journey.
The Bankan Project is located within Guinea’s Siguiri Basin, and is one of the largest gold discoveries in West Africa in the last decade. With over 4.2Moz in inferred resource from this greenfield project, Bankan is the Company’s flagship project. The fully funded 60,000m drilling campaign is targeted at adding to and improving the quality of the of the current resources at NE bankan and Bankan Creek, as well as aggressively explore(ing) other high-grade deposits within Predictive’s 356 km² licence.
Guinea is already a well established global mining address with its position of being the world’s largest producer and exporter of bauxite, a key component for the manufacturing of aluminium, and has significant prospective reserves of high quality iron ore. The Siguiri Basin, in the North-East of Guinea, sits in the middle of the Birimian/Archean contact trend stretching from Mali, through Guinea and into Burkina Faso and Ghana, it remains the least explored region of this geological feature for gold.
The Bankan gold licence, which stretches over a 35km North/South license of over 356 km² in the eastern part of the Siguiri Basin, will be one of four gold mines in the region, which includes the producing gold mines Suguiri (AngloGold Ashanti) and Lefa (Nordgold), as well as Kouroussa (Hummingbird), which is under construction and commences production in 2023.
Since drilling the initial discovery hole May 2020, Predictive has delivered a Mineral Resource (Inferred) of 72.8 million tonnes at 1.63g/t Au for 4.2 million ounces of gold.
The Company is developing two key deposits: NE Bankan and Bankan Creek, which sit only 3kms apart, in the southern section of the licence area. Predictive believes there is the opportunity to develop other similar deposits to Bankan within its large licence package, and is currently undergoing a modern, regional exploration campaign, which includes x, y and drilling, with already some highly encouraging results to date.
The central portion of the NE Bankan gold deposit is strongly controlled by a major west-dipping shear zone, with most gold and higher-grade zones occurring in the footwall of that shear zone within the felsic intrusives. Recent drilling results at depth in NE Bankan have revealed a high-grade core zone at the centre of the deposit . Resource modelling indicates that the deep highest-grade intercepts form a coherent body of mineralisation at a 3g/t Au cut-off grade. Estimated contained ounces in the lowermost 100m (vertical extent) of the plus-3g/t Au component of the resource block model were 500,000oz gold or 5,000 oz/vertical metre.

Conventional mining and processing
Straight forward and simple metallurgy
- Open pit mining expected to benefit from favourable orebody geometry
- Orebody open at depth, potential for underground mining beyond 800m
- Initial scoping-level metallurgical testwork completed has returned excellent gold recoveries under standard test conditions
- Gold mineralisation confirmed as free-milling with high gold recoveries and amenable to a simple, industry-standard processing
- Leach recoveries from all gold mineralisation types ranged from 94.2% to 98.5% under optimised conditions
Bankan Creek is a satellite deposit locate 3km from NE Bankan. Drilling at Bankan Creek has not yet explored the full extent of the gold mineralised system, both at depth and along strike with further extensional drilling planned.
